I qualified from Bristol in 1973 and worked in general practice in Guernsey and Leicestershire, interspersed with a period of zoo work. In 1990 I moved to Ivybridge, and took the practice over some 10 years later. I now head the expanding equine department with a particular interest in lameness investigation and treating competition horses. Outside of the practice, as well as doing duty at Point to Points, horse trials and shows: my wife Liz and I successfully show our lightweight hunter Acorn and compete at dressage. Much of the rest of our time is spent looking after our expanding collection of horses, sheep, poultry, cats and tortoises.
