Summer advice for owners of horses, donkeys and ponies
In addition to our close links with farriers; Saddlers; Physiotherapists; Chiropractors and Equine Dental Technicians we are pleased to inform you that we have a close working relationship with Kate Rew a local veterinary surgeon who specialises in Acupuncture, embracing both western and Chinese techniques. There are a variety of conditions that can benefit from Acupuncture for example: chronic back and pelvic problems, muscular complaints etc. So do not be surprised if you find your horse or pony the subject of Acupuncture referral. For further information on acupuncture, please have a look at the small animal acupuncture case by clicking here.
As you will be aware we send out routine vaccination reminders as a service to our clients to help people meet deadlines for vaccinations. However, computer systems are not infallible and the postal service is becoming increasingly unreliable, so we feel it is important to emphasise that it is the owners' responsibility to make sure vaccination dates are not overlooked. Naturally we shall continue to help all we can. It also helps the veterinary surgeons if owners can ensure that passports are available to us at the time of vaccination so that we can double check that the right vaccine is given.
