Fowlescombe Estate is a mixed 191 hectare farm with conservation as a major theme. The animals are kept to a very high welfare level, assisted by Steve Grills as the lead vet on the farm. The animals are pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Devon Ruby red cattle, Manx Loghtan and Hebridean rare breed sheep, four sheep dogs, rare breed chickens, and assorted domestic and feral cats. The Devon Meat Company is a local South Hams company made up of several farms that sell very high quality meat in the area.
